The Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) are the centerpiece of the Attorney General's strategy to combat transnational-organized-crime and to reduce the availability of illicit narcotics in the nation by using a prosecutor-led, multi-agency approach to enforcement. OCDETF leverages the resources and expertise of its partners in concentrated, coordinated, long-term enterprise investigations of transnational organized crime, money laundering, and major drug trafficking networks.

This position is being filled under the OPM Government-Wide Direct Hire Authority for Information Technology positions for grades GS 11-15. This serves as a public notice for the use of the Direct Hire Authority in accordance with 5 U.S.C. 3327 and 3330 and 5 CFR 330. This public notice may be used to fill multiple positions as needed; therefore, applicants must meet the qualifications at the time the applications are reviewed. Veterans' preference does not apply for this announcement.
Duties
Basic Duties and Responsibilities:
Serves as the IT Operations Manager for OCDETF information systems nationwide.
Manages operations and maintenance of an on-premises data center at the OFC, including physical and virtual server and network hardware, which operates on a 24x7 basis.
Provides day-to-day oversight of the information and cybersecurity operations of the OFC's networks, data center, and application systems.
Leads resolution of outages and information system incidents promptly, keeping senior OCDETF and OFC leadership informed.
Prepares solicitation proposals and submits to industry.
Ensures user needs are met promptly, including problem resolution through creation and disposition of appropriate issue tickets.
Manages and directs help desk and end user support, as well as system administration and related support activities.
Serves as the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) or Government Task Monitor (GTM) over IT services contracts supporting OCDETF.
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with various high-level individuals.
Works with OCDETF leadership to develop strategic and annual plans and budget documents that account for OCDETF's IT operations.

Qualifications
To qualify for the position ofInformation Technology Program Manager (CUSTSPT-INFOSEC), GS-2210-15, you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade you're applying to.
If you are a current or former government employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level, to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade. Additionally, please ensure to submit an applicable SF50 (please refer to the "required documents" section for additional information).
Basic Requirement: To qualify for the position of IT Specialist (INFOSEC), GS-2210-14, all applicants must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:
(1) Attention to Detail: Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
(2) Customer Service: Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
(3) Oral Communication: Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
(4) Problem Solving: Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
In addition to the basic qualifications listed above, all applicants must have the following:
Specialized experience:
Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-14 grade or equivalent pay band system in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as: Managing operations and maintenance of a data center; Managing physical and virtual server and network hardware, which operates on a 24x7 basis; Leading resolution of outages; Conducting customer briefings to collect feedback and evaluate customer satisfaction; Providing oversight to team members which perform the day-to-day oversight of key biometric and business processes.
